The Ancient Order of the Reveeting Society
The Ancient Order of the Reveeting Society is a not-so-secret society based in Doveland, Wisconsin. The Ancient Order is made up of esteemed Wisconsinites of all walks of life, from lumberjacks and timber cruisers, to naturalists, adventurers, and simple lorekeepers. The great and world renowned Reveeteers are selected from the farthest corners of Wisconsin, being men of great courage and chivalry. Reveeteers are men, who in the rough and tumble fight with a bear, would toss their guns into the brush, stick their bowie knives into a nearby tree, and give the big bruin both underholts, in their desire not to take advantage of the beast.

The Order was first established on Doty Island in the eleventh century, by a conference of Culdees, Menominee, and Ho-Chunk Medicine Men in an exchange of knowledge and woodslore. Over the centuries, as more and more cultures came to call Wisconsin home, these newcomers added their own woodslore to our treasury of Reveeting knowledge. Many lumbermen joined during Wisconsin's timber boom, adding their experiences into the fabric of Wisconsinite woodslore.

The goals of the Order of the Reveeting Society are simple: we are dedicated to the preservation and proliferation of Wisconsin Deep Lore. The Reveeteers meet with one another within our ancient tents to discuss important matters and discoveries within the field of Wisconsin history and folklore. The lorekeepers of the Reveeting Society have extensive knowledge on the history of this great land. The naturalists of the Reveeting Society have a full accounting of all the creatures of the State, and are generally acknowledged as being experts on the matter, even aware of many animals native to Wisconsin that the Department of Natural Resources still deny to this day.

We produce a poorly-drawn documentary series on Wisconsin history and folklore. We maintain the definitive list of Wisconsin's mythical creatures. And we host a work-in-progress bestiary fully detailing the true biology of these creatures.

The brave men of the Order of the Reveeting Society remain the only group to successfully capture and cage a hodag, which was kept by Brother Gene Shepard within a cage designed by Brother Arthur Koenitzer until the hodag finally perished in a house fire, the full account of the capture recorded in the annals of Brother Lake Shore Kearney's tome of woodslore.

We have nothing to do with the pyramids below Rock Lake, and would humbly request that inquiries into the matter made to the Order cease and desist forthwith.
